Womenswear New Arrivals

For the week of August 30th, 2010:

We continue to receive LOTS of new Fall 2010 goods.  Come in and check out New Arrivals from Theory, Hugo Boss, Nanette Lepore, Hoss, and Wilt. 

But the focus this week is on Pink Tartan!  We'll have lots of new and special goods on the floor for the Pink Tartan Trunk Show on Wednesday, September 1st.  Don't miss it.

Pink Tartan

Now that our Summer Sale has wrapped up, we are focussing on our Fall 2010 arrivals, particularly Canadian brand Pink Tartan. 

If you haven't already heard, we are having a Pink Tartan Trunk Show on Wednesday, September 1st and we are looking forward to seeing you there. 

Pam Cook, Pink Tartan's VP of International Sales will be at the store for the day and she will be bringing extra goods, not normally available in-store.

Autumn Cashmere

The first of the Fall sweaters have arrived, need we say more? 

Paige

We've received a great new selection of Fall jeans from Paige Premium Denim.  You can't beat the fit of a Paige jean.  If you are in the market for a new pair of Fall jeans, come in and try a pair on.  The ones pictured at left are a black stretch cargo pant, you wouldn't believe how comfortable they are!  Worn rolled up or down they are a very versatile early Fall pant.

Theory

Now that it is August, Fall goods are really starting to arrive.  We've got a new shipment from one of our favorites, Theory. 

If you are just getting back to the office after a July vacation, think about keeping your black suit in the closet for a little longer.  This shipment is all about grey, so if you are looking for a beautiful grey pant, jacket, or blouse we have got something for you. Grey is an great alternative to black, especially in the late summer and early fall.  It looks fantastic with white, purple, blue, pink, etc. and it looks great with that post vacation tan!

Weston Wear

Weston Wear is a line that is new to Philip Nyren Womenswear.  It is designed and made in San Francisco, CA.  The tops that have just arrived are light-weight, colourful and perfect for summer.  We invite you to come on in and have a look!

Johnny Was

For those customers that are fans of the brand Johnny Was, we just received a new shipment of tops.  If you aren't familar with the brand, they are best known for their embroidery and their peasant blouse designs.  The beautiful red top featured in the image is just a sample of the lovely styles we've got for you to look at and try on.

For the week of July 5th, 2010:

Pink Tartan

We've just received our first shipment of Fall 2010 from Pink Tartan.  So, if you want to get a jump start on your Fall wardrobe, now's the time to come in and take a look.  We've got a few dresses, skirts, leggings, tops and one style of jacket.  The colours are rich blues, purples and blacks.

For the week of June 14th, 2010:

Luv u Always Leggings

You may have already read the press on twin sisters, Tara and Gabi Garbarino and their Luv u Always legging collection. 

Based in Montreal, these 18 year old college students have developed their leggings with the help of their mother (a retailer for over 30 years). Knowing that if they could come up with the right fit, their friends would line up to buy them. With a comfortable low rise and elongated leg that extends over the foot, flaring with vents and adjustable zippers. They look great with heels, flats or running shoes.

We've got the Luv u Always legging in two styles.  One is as shown at left.

We invite you to come on in, try them on and give us your feedback on this exciting new product. 

For the week of June 7th, 2010:

We've just received a new shipment from Theory.  The image above features a beautiful new blouse with ruching on the mid-section.  We've got it exactly as shown, in the black.  We've also got a couple of other new Theory blouses, one a soft denim chambray.  We also received some more of the ever popular Theory capri in a new colour, grey.  Come on in and have a look.

For the week of May 31st, 2010:

We've still got an excellent selection of our promo tanks.  As you can see from the image, they are perfect for layering.  Majestic makes a beautiful product that wears well and lasts.  If you haven't made it in yet, we invite you to come in and take a look at all the colours and styles we've got.  Summer has got to arrive in Victoria soon.  Stock up and be prepared for the good weather!

New for the week of May 17th, 2010:

We’ve got some great cropped cargos from denim brand Rich & Skinny.  They are made from extra soft twill and tie at the lower calf.  You’ve got to come in and try these on, they are perfect for Spring and Summer. 

We’ve also got a new shipment of summer weight sweaters from Vince.  Here are two we’ve got in store now; the Flanged Square Sweater and the Mixed Media Knit Tunic.  These won’t last long, so hurry in.

New for the week of May 10th, 2010:

We just received a new shipment of undertease.  Now if you haven't heard of undertease, read on...

The designers of undertease long pondered the questions:  Do you really want your thong peeking out from your jeans?  Your bra revealed through your sheer top?  Or your tummy peeking out from a shirt that just isn’t long enough?

Stenstroms

Spring is here and with it comes our Spring 2010 edition of Philip Nyren Magazine. If you have seen the cover of the magazine, you've seen one example of the lovely tailored shirts we've got in from Stenstroms.  They are beautifully made and come in many different fabrics and patterns, all the way from plain white with French cuffs to the green check you see featured here. Wear them with a vest, or a jacket, with a skirt or with denim, they are a fantastic addition to a Spring wardrobe.

New for the week of March 29th, 2010:

This has been a busy week for Womenswear arrivals!  Here is a sampling of what we've got that is new...

This beautiful motorcycle style leather jacket by Doma comes with a zip-out insert with a hood.

Also, a nice grouping has arrived from Juicy Couture.  Highlights include: a plaid button-down shirt featuring a ruffled crew neck, a 7-button closure and ¾ length sleeves, and comfortable and stylish linen drawstring pants, suitable for home or your next warm weather vacation.

New for the week of March 22nd, 2010:

Donald J. Pliner - It's time to start thinking about sandals!

We've got a couple of different styles by Donald J. Pliner and Rosegold.  Now that it is Spring, you've got to start thinking about Spring footwear. Stock is limited, so hurry in!

Tracy Reese

We have also just received some great Spring tops from Tracy Reese.  If you have a party to go to or if you just want to treat yourself, this silver striped twist tunic may be just the item you are looking for.

New for the week of March 15th, 2010:

A new Spring shipment just arrived from Vince.  Here is a sampling of what is on the sales floor now...

Left to Right, we've got a beautiful linen blazer, the classic Vince boyfriend blazer in black (an essential piece for Spring 2010) and an embellished sequined tank featuring a scoop neck, sequins in front, and a clean back.

New for the week of March 1st, 2010:

We've still got some great denim in the store and we just received a new shipment of Leather Island belts (to wear with your new jeans!).  If you are not familiar with Leather Island you must click here to visit Philip Nyren's Blog and learn more about Bill Lavin and his unique belts.

Also new, Arnold Zimberg shirts.  Arnold Zimberg's shirts are all about the fabrics, wash, and details. They look and feel fabulous with denim.

New for the week of February 22nd, 2010:

The Womenswear Denim Week event continues! So we have got to feature the special denim inventory that we have in-store now...

Check out True Religion's Disco Billy Big T and the Billy White Sequin.  Both with fabulous detailing on the flap pockets.

Also, if you haven't tried on a pair of Jeggings yet (Jean + Legging = Jegging), you'd got to come in and try on Paige Premium Denim's latest - The Verdugo (it comes in denim and in black).

In case you are wondering, a Jegging is a jean with all the comfort and stretch of a legging.  Great with a boot, a little more substantial than a legging, with great back pocket details.  Looks like a jean, fits like a legging.  The Jegging is a HUGE Spring trend must have.

New for the week of February 15th, 2010:

We just received a new shipment of Spring 2010 goods from Juicy Couture.  Jackets, vests and this great looking shrug.

New for the week of February 1st, 2010:

Many things have influenced the life of Designer Robert Rodriguez; but it was Christian Dior that played an integral role. Growing up, Robert's mother gave him a book on Christian Dior and it was that book that became Robert's bible and doorway into the world of fashion couture.  The Robert Rodriguez collection incorporates the principles of haute couture: focusing on fashion, quality and fit. Each season is inspired by the latest European fabrics and through that, silhouettes are determined.

New for the week of January 25th, 2010:

Womenswear is very excited to present Theory, new to us for Spring 2010!  We invite you to come into the store and see our first shipment.  There is much more to come!

We've received the first of our Spring 2010 shipment from Nanette Lepore.  Come in and try something on!

The "Modern Love Dress" (below, left) by Nanette Lepore is made of stretch cotton.  It features elbow length sleeves,a flared skirt and has a fabulous comfort fit.

The "Melt with you Top" (below, right) by Nanette Lepore is a versatile silk polka dot blouse that's perfect under a jacket or great on its own.

New for the week of January 11th, 2010:

Flirty and feminine, this cotton peasant style top by Plenty can be worn on or off the shoulders. It features an elasticized waist with flutter detailing at the hem, wide sleeves and intricate embroidery across the top. The hemline and sleeves are trimmed with small beading details.

This top by Tracy Reese features multi shaped, antiqued silver beads and a self-tie string at the neck. Made of washed silk fabric, it features wide, ruffled short-sleeves and an all over design with a purple background at the top and a green background at the waist.
