December 31st, 2011 - Happy New Year!
Meanwhile, for those with the post-Christmas blues, now's the time to run in-store for some retail therapy. Lots and lots of great finds for very reduced prices. The store needs to make room for all the Spring/Summer goods now arriving, and your final buying decisions will help the buying team make their final decisions when we start buying again in earnest for next Christmas. Speaking of which, that first Buying Trip will kick off with a whirlwind trip to New York and Toronto on January 24th, the trip lasting until the following Saturday night/Sunday morning. Lots of Hugo Boss that week, both for Womenswear and Menswear. Speaking of Hugo Boss, for Spring/Summer of 2011, you'll see a strong lean towards Women's Boss Orange Label; it's more casual than the Black label, and is very easy to move from workplace to dinner out or weekend wear. Bonus: It's about 30% cheaper than Black is for the same season. It's expected this trend will continue into Fall/Winter of 2011, and frankly, I'm as keen as mustard to see the new collection. Men's Boss Orange has always been much more casual, though rarely less expensive, as is the Green label, which has two strong menswear prongs: Golfwear and, oddly, Streetwear. This Fall past has been our first foray into Green, but given the results so far, here's hoping everyone loves the spring Green the same as they did the fall. Happy Shopping. See you in the store in 2011! Phil |
