February 4th, 2010 - Bill Lavin/Leather Island Belts
Leather Island Belts were born out of designer Bill Lavin's passion for collecting rare vintage items. His belts focus heavily on originality, as the artwork and aging on them is never the same. Leather Island Belts are vintage-looking designs, created out of new materials, utilizing intensely complicated and time-consuming emulsion screening and "aging" processes. Bill's designs run the gamut from weathered solids, houndstooth and checked prints to symbols that embody America's heritage & Music Icons. Each design has a story, an element of surprise, and a distinctive look.
