Welcome to Fall 2011!

The weather's crisper and that's always a great excuse to layer up. As most people know, layering is a very hot topic in the fashion business this season, and for the coming Spring/Summer of 2012.

For men, it starts with a tee shirt, topped with a stylin' sport shirt, layered beneath an ultra-soft knitwear piece, and then a hip, softly constructed sport coat, outerwear or leather jacket. But wait! The piece de resistance is an uber-light knit scarf. Not just for warmth, but to top off the correct hipster look. A pair of kickin' jeans wouldn't hurt either.

For women, who've known about layering all along, look to cover up with cashmeres and blends from Autumn Cashmere or White & Warren. There's new outerwear, leather jackets and beautiful coats from Trina Turk, Pink Tartan, Hugo Boss (among others) to cap off your new fall look. *tip: generally outerwear is bought only one per size, so don't wait if a new coat is on your horizon.
