June 7th, 2011 - Almost Father's Day

Many of you may know I love cars, and motorbikes and just about anything a person could drive. You may also know, the store is very community minded and does a lot of donation and fund raising for various charities, community events and other worthwhile causes. I'm happy to say this weekend the store and I get to do a bit of both.

How? Well, we're having a Concours D'Elegance in the parking lot (which will be closed to parking on Saturday). We're featuring somewhere in the neighbourhood of $3 million to $5 million in featured cars; Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley and so on. Having Mercedes Benz gull wings, both new and old, will be a highlight for all to see.

All this to raise money for the Ride to Conquer Cancer. The aim here is to raise $250,000 to be used in cancer research, which we think is within reach.

This is all the better, I think, because it's almost Father's Day, and that's a great reason to bring Dad down here, and spend some time, check out the cars, make a small donation, and do guy stuff while the women and kids in Dad's life can buy him a new golf shirt.
